  1. MISSING: Peter McGuire, 29, a Smithtown man was last seen leaving his home on Landing Avenue on foot at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18, police said. McGuire is white, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 160 pounds. He has multiple tattoos on his neck, arms, side and chest. McGuire has a history of drug use, police said. Detectives are asking anyone with information on McGuire's location to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452. (Smithtown Patch)
  2. The Smithtown Township Arts Council (STAC) is reflecting on climate change and the environment through an extended series of exhibits at the Mills Pond Gallery in St. James that began this past fall. Their next exhibit, "Long Island Landscapes: From Awe to Action," invites viewers to appreciate the beauty of this area while considering what they might do to preserve it. The show opens Feb. 5. The exhibit features 60 works from 53 Long Island artists. A variety of styles and mediums will be on display, including acrylic, watercolor, oil, graphite and charcoal. (tbrnewsmedia.com)
  3. Looking for family fun with your toddler? Look no further than Urban Air in Lake Grove at 3147 Middle Country Road. They launched a new "Jumperoo" program for kids ages 2 to 5. "Jumperoo" is open every Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. Attractions include the Climbing Hill, Wipeout, Battle Beam, Warrior Course, giant LEGO building block area, trampolines, and more. "Jumperoo" sessions are for toddlers only and exclude holidays. Admission is $14.99 per toddler, per session (parents who don't jump are admitted free).   4. If you are single and ready to mingle the Bay Shore Mingle on Main Street, a Valentine’s Day Pub Crawl is for you, though the event takes place on Thursday, Feb. 10. Several downtown restaurants have banded together for this singles bar crawl and who knows, you just might find someone to spend Valentine's Day proper with! (Greater Long Island)
