  1. Smithtown Landing Country Club welcomes a new catering company in 2023. Lessing Hospitality is departing the famous venue after serving it for 25 years. Panico's Community Market has been approved by the Town's Board as the new service provider. (Greater Long Island)
  2. The holiday season will be here before we know it and the Radio City Rockettes are getting ready to do their magic, welcoming a Smithtown resident on the stage. Danielle Campbell who started dancing as a child at a Studio in St. James is now part of the group that will entertain crowds during the holiday season in NYC. (News 12 Long Island)
  3. A pedestrian was seriously injured during a car accident on Deer Park Road in Dix Hills. Driver Dino Dudine struck a pedestrian at 9:45 p.m. Police did not release the pedestrian's identity, who was transported to the South Shore University Hospital. (Smithtown Matters)
  4. Peter Zisopoulos is facing murder charges for fatally stabbing the FDNY Emergency Medical member, Alison Russo. The crime happened at EMS Station 49 in Astoria last month. Zisopoulos is accused of knocking Russo to the ground and stabbing her multiple times before fleeing the scene. (Long Island News 12)
