2. Smithtown Supervisor Ed Wehrheim's new proposal aims to increase his salary by 22 percent. Other town officials will benefit from the plan by having their wages pumped up. 4. The Town of Smithtown held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the Celebrate Park in St. James. The park is on Lake Avenue and was built through community donations.
