Smithtown Police Blotter: Man Steals $3K Worth Of Goods From Kohl's

ALSO: Property was stolen from a vehicle, police say.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Smithtown area from Nov. 4 through Nov. 10.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Nov. 6: Carl Garcia, 39, without a known address, stole merchandise valued at approximately $3,285 from Kohl's, located at 45 Crooked Hill Road, Commack, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny: value of property exceeds $3,000.

Incidents

  • Nov. 4: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Smithtown Bypass in Smithtown at 2:50 a.m. Property was stolen from a 2024 GMC, police said.
