St. James Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint

It happened early this morning. Four Suffolk businesses have now been robbed at gunpoint over the past five days.

A St. James gas station was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday, Suffolk Police said.

According to police, three men entered the Shell station located at 560 Middle Country Road at approximately 12:10 a.m. and demanded cash from an employee at the counter. One of the men displayed a gun. The employee complied and the men fled on foot. There were no injuries reported.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

It's the fourth gunpoint robbery in five days at Suffolk businesses. On Monday night, two men with guns robbed a BP gas station located at 1099 Horseblock Road in Farmingville. A clerk was injured during a robbery at a Medford store late Sunday night. Last Friday, two men with guns also robbed a gas station in Medford.

No arrests have been made and police have not said if detectives believe the robberies are related.
