West's Keenan Lands Goal, Assist at Under Armour All-American Game

Kyle Keenan, heading to Duke University to play lacrosse next season, puts one in the back of the net and assisted another goal for North in the Under Armour All-American game Saturday.

West’s Kyle Keenan had a goal and an assist for the North squad in the 11-9 loss to South Saturday in the 2011 Under Armour All-America Lacrosse game at Towson University.

Keenan’s unassisted goal took place in the beginning of the second quarter, giving North a 7-3 lead. The West star’s assist came off a Jimmy Bitter goal at the 9:39 mark in the first quarter, giving North a 2-1 lead. South’s 11-9 win makes the squad 2-4 all time in the series.

Leaving his high school career behind, ending in a 12-11 overtime loss to West Islip in the Suffolk County championship game, Keenan will be playing college lacrosse at Duke University next season.
