Eight new homes are being built in Amagansett near the ocean. And Black Friday this year was a quiet shopping day on Long Island.

1. Hedges has details on a "block party" that held on Saturday to give buyers and agents a preview of eight properties being built on Handy Lane, a cul-de-sac close to the ocean in Amagansett. They are listed for $4.2 million and $6.899 million. (Hedges)
2. Riverhead Police charged Terry Smith, 58, of Riverhead, with one count of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree for burglarizing Lowe's on Route 58 on Thanksgiving night. Police said Smith used a large piece of steel to smash two of the front doors. (RiverheadLOCAL)
3. RiverheadLOCAL reports that this year's Black Friday seemed quiet. Tanger Outlets in Riverhead was one place that was quiet, but many other big box stores didn't see long lines and traffic. (RiverheadLOCAL)
4. Riverhead Police are seeking the public's help to locate a teenage girl missing from Little Flower Children's Services in Wading River. Sharee Kornegay, age 18, left the Little Flower facility at about 10 p.m. Thanksgiving night. (RiverheadLOCAL)
