Incident Reports: School Bus License Plates Stolen

Also this week, King Kullen employee reportedly stole from the store and left when approached.

Crimes and suspicious incidents recently reported to the Southampton Town Police Department: 

Petty Larceny

• A store manager at King Kullen in Bridgehampton reported to police that an employee was caught on camera stealing soup, a sandwich and donuts valued at $12.53. When approached, the incident report states, he “dropped the bag and ran away.” Police advised management to contact them if he returns to the store.

• An employee in the Southampton Union Free School District reported on March 6 that someone had stolen license plates from two vehicles. Exactly one week prior, a license plate had been stolen also. Police are investigating the incident.

• A Southampton man reported on March 6 that someone had used his Best Buy credit card to purchase more than $900 worth of goods from the Riverhead Best Buy location. The card was in his possession at the time of the incident, according to police reports, and the man had been victim of credit card fraud roughly a year ago at the Patchogue Best Buy location.

Grand Larceny

• A resident of Sagg Main Street in Sagaponack reported that between March 8 and March 9, someone stole a $4,000 wood chipper and trailer from his property. Police are investigating the incident as a grand larceny.
