Planned Parenthood Education Van Makes Hamptons Debut
The 27-foot vehicle aims to bring services to individuals who otherwise may not be able to go to a Planning Parenthood health center
On Friday, Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic's new education and testing van, designed to promote reproductive and sexual health in Suffolk County, headed to Bridgehampton to visit the Hayground Farmers Market.
The 27-foot vehicle aims to bring services to individuals who otherwise may not be able to go to a Planning Parenthood health center, according to the organization.
Onboard the van is a clinician, who offers birth control options, pregnancy tests, emergency contraception, condoms and testing for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.
During the debut at the farmers market, Planned Parenthood offered offer tours of the van and meet and greets with clinical and education staff.Â
