Blaze Breaks Out Inside Upper West Side Apartment Building: FDNY

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A fire broke out inside a 28-story Upper West Side apartment building early Monday morning, officials said.

The blaze broke out on the ninth floor of 185 West End Ave. at around 4 a.m. on Tuesday, officials said.

Around 80 firefighters and FDNY medics rushed to the scene, according to fire officials, getting the fire under control in about 30 minutes.

No injured were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to the FDNY.
