BO's Bagels Opening Location In Wash Heights: What To Know

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A popular bagel shop is opening its second location in Washington Heights, a store employee confirmed to Patch and a Community Board 12 meeting shows.

BO's Bagels will open in the near future at 3887 Broadway, between West 155th and 156th streets.

The bagel spot has operated at 235 W. 116th St. since 2017, when owners Andrew Martinez and Ashley Dikos started the business to address the lack of quality bagels in Harlem.

In April, Eater NY ranked the Harlem shop as one of the best bagels in New York City.

BO's Bagels recently went in front of Washington Heights and Inwood's Community Board 12 to apply for a wine license.

Martinez explained that he had 30 years of experience within the restaurant industry, including 10 years of liquor experience when he worked as the bar manager of Michael Jordan Steakhouse in Grand Central Terminal.

Medina added that she had spent many years in Washington Heights, where she obtained a Master's Degree from Columbia Medical Center.

Its license application was approved unanimously by the uptown board.

The opening date for the Washington Heights location is hopefully some time in July.
