Crepe Spot Opening In Former Home Of Iconic Inwood Meat Market
Signage for a crepe shop recently went up in the former storefront of the Broadycke Meat Market at 4767 Broadway.

INWOOD, NY — The Broadycke Meat Market & Deli was an Inwood institution, serving up cuts of meat, soups, lasagna, sandwiches, and coffees for more than 45 years, but the now shuttered shop appears to soon be welcoming a crepe business.
The beloved meat market at 4767 Broadway, near Dyckman Street, permanently closed in 2021 following longtime owner Bob Tortorello's attempt to reopen post-COVID.
Now, the formerly famousbsaw-dust covered floorboards will be home to a new business, Tornado Crepes.

Despite the sign going up for Tornado Crepes, it is difficult to find information about the incoming business at the Inwood storefront.
A look for Tornado Crepes on Google Maps, says that the business will be opening for the first time on Friday.

However, there appear to be two businesses named Tornado Crepes with locations already in New York City and neither of them have any information on their websites about opening a new Inwood location.
The two businesses also did not answer multiple calls from Patch on Thursday.
The Tornado Crepes business with a working website has a location at 307 Knickerbocker Ave. in Brooklyn and 1808 Weirfield St. in Ridgewood and serves up sweet crepes, savory crepes, cheese cake, brunch items, special tea, coffee, smoothies, ice cream, and milkshakes.
Patch will update this article when it hears back from the Tornado Crepes business moving into the Inwood storefront steeped in neighborhood history.
