Man Hit With Brass Knuckles In Washington Heights Robbery: Police

The man was jumped after getting out of an Uber near West 186th Street and Audubon Avenue, police said.

WASHINGTON HIEGHTS-INWOOD, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a group of men connected to a violent robbery in Washington Heights, police said.

A 23-year-old man was jumped Monday morning after exiting an Uber and walking into an apartment building on West 186th Street and Audubon Avenue and being confronted by a group of three unknown men, police said. The robbers punched the man with brass knuckles and stole his watch and cell phone, police said.

After fleeing the apartment building the three men drove off in a white Kia Optima, police said. The victim was treated at Harlem Hospital for lacerations to his face and neck, police said.

Police released photos of two of the alleged robbers taken by security cameras near the scene of the crime.
