WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Mayor Eric Adams put one foot in front of the other during a tour of Washington Heights on Monday and a stop at a local beauty salon.

Hours before his appearance at the star-studded Met Gala, the city's mayor paid a visit to the Cuccio Nail Salon at 1506 St. Nicholas Ave. (near West 186th Street).

"Thank you to Cuccio Nail Salon in Washington Heights for getting me ready for the Met Gala," Adams tweeted.

The main takeaway from the video might be the fact that Adams wears an ankle bracelet.

The mayor is known to wear several bracelets in his day-to-day, including an "energy stone" on his right wrist.

Cuccio Nail Salon did not immediately answer a call from Patch about the mayor's feet.

The uptown business is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Adams was uptown Monday for a tour of Washington Heights led by Rep. Adriano Espaillat, Council Member Carmen De La Rosa and Shaun Abreu, and new Assembly Member Manny De Los Santos.

The mayor's visit was in coordination with the city's Small Business Week.

Later that night he arrived at the Met Gala wearing a tuxedo that said "End Gun Violence" on the back of it.

He tweeted, "Bringing a little swagger back to the Met Gala," with a picture of himself.
