The evening of weed infused stories is hosted by the Upper Manhattan publication Uptown Collective, along with the recently formed Uptown Cannabis Coalition, and Bud-A-Fly Treats.
Weed is not for sale within the restaurant as that is still illegal, but organizers said that people are welcome to bring their own legally purchased marijuana to smoke outside the venue.

Chelas has not yet fully opened to the public.
"Smoke Signals is all about celebrating community, culture and cannabis," reads a blurb on Uptown Collective's website about the event. "Guests will also be treated to a first look at what will soon be one of the dopest spots Uptown, Chelas."
The event will officially start at 8 p.m., but there will also be a Happy Hour beforehand starting at 7 p.m.
It is a ticketed event, with general admission costing $50, and $100 for those who want to also go to the Happy Hour VIP Reception.
