Trash Fire Spreads To Apartment In Washington Heights: FDNY
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the FDNY Fire Marshals, officials said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A trash fire broke out on West 192nd Street, between St. Nicholas and Audubon avenues, and spread to a nearby apartment building on Sunday night, New York City Fire Department officials said.
According to the FDNY, the fire started at a six-story apartment building at 565 West 192nd St. at 7:41 p.m. on Sunday night and extended into an apartment.
Around 60 firefighters and emergency workers responded to the scene, and got the fire under control about an hour later, at 8:22 p.m., authorities said.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the FDNY Fire Marshals, officials said.
The apartment building was occupied, and the Red Cross — which provides temporary housing for people dealing with disasters — was on the scene, but it is unclear if anyone was resettled due to the fire.
