Southampton Police Log: Homeless Man Caught Trespassing

Trespassing
A homeless man was charged with criminal trespass in the third degree, a misdemeanor and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, on Feb. 5 after police found him on property at 20 Montauk Highway West in Hampton Bays. According to a police report, John Martinolich had been told prior to the arrest that he was not permitted on the property. He was further charged with failure to bay a fine for a bench warrant.

Contempt
A Riverhead man was charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, a felony, on Feb, 5 after police said he pushed a person who was protected by an order of protection. Steven Marks, 58 was arrested in Riverside.

DWAI
David Scanlan, 60, of Cutchogue was charged with DWAI, combined with drugs and alcohol, a violation, on Feb. 5 after he was stopped on County Road 104 in Flanders. Police said Scanlan was charged after he was involved in a car accident.
Drugs
A 20-year-old Flanders man and a 21-year-old Riverhead woman were each charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, on Feb. 7 after police said they found them parked in the rear of a car parked on Temple Avenue in Flanders with ziplock bags of the drug.
