Connecticut Man Accused Of Punching Woman In The Face

YORKTOWN, NY — A Connecticut man was accused of punching a Yorktown woman in the face.

The Yorktown Police Department said Marc Woll, 51, of Danbury, Connecticut, was arrested Tuesday and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

Police said, shortly after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to a report of an assault in progress at a Yorktown home.

An investigation found Woll injured a woman by punching her in the face with a closed fist, police said.

He wasn’t at the scene, but police told him to come to the Yorktown Police Department.

Woll arrived around 10:45 p.m and was arrested.

He was held until arraignment Wednesday, during which a judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.

Police said Woll was released on his own recognizance to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 26.
