Lincoln Hall Student Throws Desk in Classroom, Bites Two People

A 16-year-old Manhattan teen faces a number of criminal charges for damaging school property in Somers and biting two staff members, New York State police said.
Joseph Ordonez was charged with criminal mischief, a felony; assault, a misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a violation.
He was arrested on Dec. 13 at about 1 p.m. after what police call say was a "violent outburst" during classroom instruction. The teen had thrown a desk causing damage to Lincoln Hall's property, police said. When staff members attempted to restrain Ordonez, he bit them.

Ordonez was arrested for the above charges and arraigned before Bedford Town Justice Jacobson. The teen was remanded to Westchester County Jail and scheduled to appear in Somers Town Court on Monday, Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m.
