Public Meetings Scheduled In Somers

SOMERS, NY — Here’s a look ahead at public meetings scheduled for the week of Jan. 3.

In Somers, the Town Board will hold an organizational meeting and work session at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5.

The organization meeting, the agenda for which can be viewed here, includes setting the schedule for Town Board meetings, adopting the meeting format for 2023, vacancy announcements, the designation of an official newspaper, legal counsel and banks and appointments such as for deputy supervisor, town historian and deputy town clerk.

A work session will immediately follow the organization meeting.

Its agenda, which can be viewed here, includes an update on COVID-19 in the town and other matters of business such as current and upcoming vacancies.

The meeting is in-person with a remote access option. Meeting is being held at the Somers Town House, 335 Route 202 in Somers.
