Shrub Oak Man, 22, Charged with Attempted Robbery

A 22-year-old Shrub Oak man was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 9 on a felony attempted robbery charge, Yorktown police said.
Police issued an arrest warrant for Jonathan Tozzo on Jan. 4 after they were unable to locate him when they received a report he had tried to rob a victim in October 2012.
Tozzo was walking with an acquaintance on Oct. 21, 2012 at about 10:30 p.m. when he struck him in the head, police said. The victim fell to the ground and Tozzo demanded $20, Yorktown police Lt. Soravilla said.

The victim told Tozzo he had the money at his house, police said. When they got to the house, the victim entered and locked the door preventing Tozzo from entering.
Tozzo was located on Jan. 9 on Route 6 in the town of Yorktown. He was arrested and remanded to the Westchester County Jail on $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.

He was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Jan. 10.
