What's Open/Closed on New Year's Eve and Day

As you're preparing to celebrate the new year, we have compiled a list of holiday hours for restaurants, liquor stores, grocery stores and other places you might need to run to for a last minute item in Yorktown and Somers.

Closed on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2013:

• Post Office
• Lakeland, Yorktown and Somers schools will remain on winter break
• Banks
• Town officers will be closed all day

Libraries:

• The John C. Hart Memorial Library will be open on Monday, Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 1. 
• The Somers Public Library will be open on Dec. 31 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. It will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 1.

Shopping Centers and Plazas

• CVS in Triangle Center in Yorktown: Open on New Year’s Eve and Day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Turco's in Yorktown: Open on New Year's Eve from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Closed New Year's Day
• A&P Triangle Center in Yorktown: New Year’s Eve open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and New Year's Day is regular hours. 
• Stop & Shop at the Somers Commons in Baldwin Place: Open on New Year's Eve from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and New Year's Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
• A&P located at 122 New York 22 in Goldens Bridge: Open on New Year's Eve from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and New Year's Day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

Liquor Stores:

• Suburban Wine & Spirits in Yorktown: Open on New Year's Eve from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Closed on New Year's Day 
• Lakeland Wine and Liquor in Shrub Oak – Open both days on New Year's Eve and Day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Somers Wine & Spirits, 325 New York 100, Open on New Year's Eve from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (maybe 8 p.m.), Open on New Year's Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  
• Mohegan Wines and Liquor in Mohegan Lake: Open regular hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

Route 202

• BJ's Wholesale Club: Open on New Year’s Eve from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Open on New Year's Day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. 
• New City Diner: Open every day. New Year's Eve and Day – open from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. 

Route 6

• Mohegan Diner: Open 24 hours, every day
• DeCicco Marketplace: Open on New Year's Eve from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Open on New Year's Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
• CVS (on Rt. 6 in Mohegan Lake): Open on New Year's Eve and Day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (regular store hours)

Cortlandt Town Center

• Walmart: Open on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. (regular store hours)
