What's Open, Closed on MLK Day?

Schools and government offices will close, but almost all businesses will operate as usual.

Monday, Jan. 21, is a federal, state and local holiday honoring the birthday of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

King’s actual birthday was Tuesday, Jan. 15 – he would have been 84 this year – but the official holiday is always celebrated on the third Monday of January.
