CHARLOTTE, NC — An 11-year-old child was shot Monday afternoon in northeast Charlotte, <a href="https://www.wbtv.com/2022/02/01/police-11-year-old-seriously-injured-northeast-charlotte-shooting/" data-ol-has-click-handler rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to WBTV</a>, when someone shot into a building. The shooting happened on West Sugar Creek Road after 4 p.m. Monday, according to police. An eighteen-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were also inside the building when shots were fired, but they were not injured in the shooting. The 11-year-old was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. Patch has reached out to Charlotte Police for additional information.
