Caller Tells Police They Shot Someone In North Charlotte
The caller told police they shot a person on Hamilton Circle.
CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is investigating a homicide that happened on the 4900 block of Hamilton Circle in North Charlotte.
At approximately 11:51 am, on December 29, 2021, officers responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.
The caller told police they shot someone, and the victim had left the scene in a car. Shortly after that call, police discovered a car crash where they found the driver suffering from gunshot wounds.

Medic transported the victim to Atrium Health, who was later identified as Antone Dominique Sloan, 41.
Sloan was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Upon the victim’s passing, the CMPD Homicide Unit took over as lead in the investigation. The Homicide Unit is not currently looking for any outstanding suspects at this time.
