  1. Charlotte has lost 9-5 against the playoff-bound Bulls. The Bulls center fielder Bligh Madris smashed three hits and drove in three runs. Although the Charlotte Knights were able to narrow the deficit to one with two tallies in the third, the Bulls landed a five-spot in the fourth. (WRALSportsFan)
  2. The Humane Society of Charlotte is currently taking donations to help animals find forever homes — especially amid the storms and displacement of Hurricane Ian.   3. A Charlotte man has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for the armed robbery of two cell phone retail stores. 24-year-old Rashawn William Coleman will also have three years of supervised release following his time served. In June of 2020, the Belmont Police Department responded to a call for an armed robbery at the Cricket Wireless store located at 617 Park Street. (Department of Justice)

  • Even with all the rainy weather in Charlotte, there are still plenty of places to take kids for indoor fun. For example, Frankie's Fun Park has a great arcade as well as bowling lanes and the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art is lots of fun for kids. (Charlotte Observer)
