Charlotte Restaurant Among 100 Most Romantic In America: Study
Ahead of Valentine's Day, OpenTable compiled a list of most romantic restaurants in the country — and a Charlotte steakhouse made the cut.

CHARLOTTE, NC — If you're in search of a place to spend a night out this Valentine's Day, look no further — a Charlotte restaurant has been named one of the most romantic restaurants in the country.
Restaurant reservation company OpenTable analyzed more than 12.4 million diner reviews to come up with a list of the 100 most romantic restaurants in the country, and Charlotte's Steak 48 is among them.
Steak 48 describes the restaurant as having the "finest steaks and high-quality seafood in an intimate and vibrant setting. The diverse menu will satisfy any personal craving, as we serve the best USDA prime steaks, succulent seafood, and shellfish along with inventive and classically inspired side dishes and appetizers."

It was the only restaurant to make Open Table's exclusive list in North Carolina but there are Steak 48 locations in Houston, Philadelphia and Chicago.
The list was distributed before the Valentine's Day holiday in support of restaurants that have suffered during the ongoing pandemic.
"Our data suggests that Valentine's Day dining is rebounding this year, with reservations up 30 percent nationwide compared to last year," said Susan Lee, Chief Growth Officer at OpenTable. "We're excited to see this momentum leading up to what has traditionally been one of the biggest dining days of the year for restaurants."
Charlotte was top of mind for Steak 48 CEO Jeff Mastro, and they hope to serve Charlotte for a long time to come.
“We know Charlotte has many great steakhouses, each with a unique offering. We will complement our neighbors and hope to be one more reason for Charlotte to dine out another night,” said Mastro in a press release.
