Two shelter dogs got to enjoy a day out this week in a pool paradise at Aqua Pups. They are still looking for their forever homes!

CHARLOTTE, NC — It's a dog's day out at Aqua Pups, and even shelter dogs get a chance to splash and frolic in the pool just for them.

Aqua Pups is the first dog-pool specialty location in the Queen City, and they're partnering up for some pool time for shelter pups.

This week, two dogs, Lawson and Blocket, got to enjoy splishy splashy fun at Aqua Pups and take a break from shelter life.

It's the start of something extra fun for more dogs in need as well, according to Aqua Pups.

"We loved connecting with CMPD Animal Care and Control to give these two boys a day of fun at Aqua Pups! We hope they find their furever homes and we look forward to continuing this relationship and providing pups with days of fun in the pool," said a spokesperson for Aqua Pups.

A spokesperson for CMPD Animal Care and Control agrees, telling Patch they hope to take two dogs a week on a water-logged vacation.

"When the dogs come swim here we are advertising their adoption as well as introducing them to new environments! We hope that they become well acquainted with the water, spend more time outside of the shelter and are more receptive to a new environment in the future," said Shauna with Aqua Pups.

The pool paradise at Aqua Pups is veterinarian owned and offers lots of amenities including doggy blow-outs, swim lessons and physical therapy.

Both Lawson and Blocket hope to find their forever homes soon. You can view all adoptable dogs on the Charlotte Animal Care and Control Facebook page and website.
