CMS Reopens Registration For Summer Learning Program
"Camp CMS" is a six-week in-person summer learning program designed to help close educational gaps that emerged due to the pandemic.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has reopened registration for its summer learning program aimed at helping students catch up with curriculum due to pandemic disruptions in the past school year, it announced.
The school district's six week "Camp CMS" is an in-person summer learning and enrichment program for students that runs from June 14 through July 29. Registration is open until Friday, April 16.
"The program is designed to address unfinished instruction and the impacts COVID-19 had on mastery learning during the 2020-21 school year. All students will receive transportation (if needed), daily meals, physical activity, social emotional learning supports, and instruction to meet individual student needs," CMS said.
