Community COVID-19 Testing In Mecklenburg: Where To Get A Test

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC — Need a COVID-19 test? There are numerous COVID-19 community testing events this month in Cornelius and Charlotte, some of which may be free, according to the county's health department.

"Anyone interested in getting tested should contact the test site before they go to confirm testing criteria, availability, hours and registration," North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services said.

• Monday, Oct. 12 — Elevation Church Lake Norman, 8325 Copley Drive, Cornelius, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• Thursday, Oct. 15 — Hickory Grove Baptist Food Pantry, 7200 E. W.T. Harris Blvd, Charlotte, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
• Friday, Oct. 19 — Elevation Church Lake Norman, 8325 Copley Drive, Cornelius, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• Monday, Oct. 26 — Elevation Church Lake Norman, 8325 Copley Drive, Cornelius, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

In addition to the community testing events, there are numerous testing locations available in Mecklenburg County, according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Locations may be found here.
