Councilman Creates GoFundMe For Fallen CMPD Officer's Family
Tariq Scott Bokhari created a GoFundMe for Mia Goodwin, killed Wednesday in the line of duty in Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A Charlotte city councilman has created a GoFundMe to assist with any needs of the family of a fallen CMPD officer.
Officer Mia Goodwin was killed Wednesday morning after responding to a traffic stop on I-85. While she was there, two 18-wheelers collided, slamming into four police cruisers. Goodwin was pronounced dead at the scene and two other officers received medical care.
"This story has us heartbroken in our household today, and the time of year paired with the story of Officer Mia Goodwin's young family makes it unbearable," said councilman Tariq Scott Bokhari.
