Free COVID Tests Available At Mecklenburg County Libraries
The free COVID tests are a big help to people who can't afford over-the-counter tests.
MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC — Local Mecklenburg County libraries are offering a huge public service during the pandemic. Free COVID-19 testing kits are available at designated library locations across the county.
The reason the tests are offered is to help residents facing barriers to testing like difficulty accessing local testing sites or inability to purchase an at-home kit online or at a nearby pharmacy or department store.
Test kits are available via curbside pick-up at designated library branches and public health locations. The kits are provided by North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services for free, and no insurance or ID is required to get them.
