Homicide Investigation Underway After Man Found Shot To Death
A man was found shot to death in the University area home shortly before midnight Sunday. Here's what police are saying about the case.
CHARLOTTE, NC — A homicide investigation is underway in northeast Charlotte after a man was found shot to death shortly before midnight Sunday.
According to a police report, officers from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the 2800 block of Bustlehead Court after receiving an emergency call reporting an assault with a deadly weapon.
"Upon their arrival officers located a male and he was pronounced deceased from an apparent gunshot wound," CMPD said.

Police interviewed "several witnesses" who were at the scene at the time of the shooting, WSOC reported. "Authorities have not said what led up to the shooting or it anyone is in custody," the station said.
CMPD said the investigation is active and ongoing and said that anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
