Hurricane Isaias Could Cause Flooding In North Carolina
The storm could cause flash floods in North Carolina early next week, the National Weather Service reports.

NORTH CAROLINA — The storm heading for the United States' eastern coast has been upgraded to a hurricane, according to the National Weather Service.
The now-hurricane Isaias is expected to make landfall on Friday, causing high winds, flooding and mudslides in the islands of the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas.
The National Weather Service reports the storm will also make its way to south and east-central Florida late Friday.

By early next week, the storm will reach the eastern Carolinas, potentially causing some flash floods, according to the weather service.

The route of the hurricane is still yet to be determined, but some models predict it will run up the coastline, dropping rain and potentially causing flooding. Residents are urged to be cautious of a strong rip current through the weekend.
