NORTH CAROLINA — Joe Biden and President Donald Trump are scheduled to visit North Carolina this week, as the state is shaping up to be a pivotal battleground in deciding the upcoming presidential election.
Former Vice President Biden will visit Charlotte on Wednesday, his campaign announced Monday. Details about the visit were not immediately available.
On Thursday, Trump is expected to visit Charlotte, marking his 14th visit to the state, WWAY reported.

North Carolina, along with Georgia and Florida, are considered "toss-up" states, according to a recent survey by The Cook Political Report. "In North Carolina's Senate race, the Cook Political Report has the race in the Toss Up category; Democrat Cal Cunningham has a narrow four-point lead over GOP Sen. Thom Tillis (41-37 percent). Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper has a substantial 10-point lead over Republican Dan Forest 48 percent to 38 percent. This race sits in Lean Democrat," it said.
