Lidl To Open New Southwest Charlotte Location: Details
The new Lidl location marks the eighth in Charlotte for the grocery chain. Here's what shoppers can expect at the new store opening.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A new grocery store will soon open its doors in southwest Charlotte. Lidl will open a new location with a grand opening event Wednesday, April 14 at 11225 South Tryon Street in Charlotte.
The store will be open from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. every day of the week, the company said.
As part of the grand opening event, the store will offer "get-them-while-you-can" specials, as well as gift cards for the first 100 customers.

The budget German supermarket chain is considered a direct competitor with Aldi and is credited with launching local grocery price wars wherever it opens its doors, according to Food & Wine, which recently ranked the chain as the No. 6 top grocer in the U.S.
