Lung Association Soars to New Heights at the Iconic Truist Field

Stair climb event to raise money to end lung disease, COVID-19

Today, the American Lung Association in North Carolina announced that it will host the iconic Fight For Air Climb on March 26.

The Charlotte Fight For Air Climb challenges residents to climb 800 steps at the iconic Truist Field, Home of the Charlotte Knights. The organization is also offering a “Climb Your Way” option for those who can’t make it to the physical event.

“We are thrilled to give our climbers the opportunity to experience the excitement first-hand as they weave up and down the stadium steps of the fan bowl, all while enjoying the one-of-a-kind views of the Charlotte skyline,” shared Jennifer Hall, Executive Director of the American Lung Association.

“As a participant and someone whose family has seen the effects of lung disease, I’m not only excited to achieve this physical challenge, but more importantly raise funds for lung health. Because when you can’t breathe, nothing else matters,” said Jessica Graham, Chair of the Local Leadership Board for the American Lung Association and President of Fionix Consulting.

As the only American Lung Association stair climb in North Carolina, the Fight For Air Climb raises critical dollars to support the mission of American Lung Association -- saving lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. Proceeds from the event support educational programs in North Carolina as well as advocacy work and research. Funds will also support the organization’s COVID-19 Action Initiative. The COVID-19 Action Initiative is a $25 million investment to address COVID-19 and protect against future respiratory virus pandemics.
