Man Climbs 90 Feet On Electrical Tower, Police Talk Him Down
Power was cut to the area while police successfully convinced the man to come down.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A man climbed 70 feet on an electrical towner near East Woodlawn Road in Charlotte Sunday afternoon, prompting a large response from local law enforcement, including SWAT.
Right before 2 p.m., officers went to help the man climbing the tower at the 1300 block of Nations Crossing Road, but when they started talking to him, he climbed from roughly 20 feet higher, according to CMPD.
Duke Energy quickly de-energized the power away from that tower, which caused power outages in the area until they were able to reroute electricity and restore it. Meanwhile, SWAT went to work to try and get the man down.
