Missing Charlotte Man Found Dead In Virginia: CMPD
Brian John Kemppainen, 39, was last seen by his family Aug. 10 near his home. Police said foul play is not suspected in his death.
CHARLOTTE, NC — A missing Charlotte man has been found dead in Virginia, Charlotte police said Monday, nearly two weeks after he was last seen by his family.
Last Tuesday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Departmentasked for the community's help locating Brian John Kemppainen, 39, who at the time had not been seen by his family in a week.
Kemppainen was last seen Aug. 10 around 7:30 a.m. near his home in the 7700 block of Wingmont Drive in north Charlotte, and was believed to be driving a black 2013 Harley-Davidson FLS Softtail Slim motorcycle.

"Kemppainen's family says this behavior is unusual for Kemppainen and they are concerned for his wellbeing," CMPD said.

CMPD did not say where Kemppainen was located, but that the preliminary investigation did not indicate his death was a result of foul play.
