  1. "According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the number of anti-semitism incidents is on the rise nationwide. Back in February, a situation occurred in Boone where a man was accused of waving an anti-semitic flag with a swastika on it. Beverly Maurice, with the North Carolina Holocaust Council, said educating others about the holocaust and other instances of anti-semitism is the first step forward in working on the problem," WBTV reports.   2. "The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide after a person was stabbed to death in southwest Charlotte Sunday morning. Police responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at an apartment complex along Kingsford Drive, in the area near Nations Ford Road just after 5:30 a.m. A male victm was found at the scene with a stab wound, police said. The victim died from his injuries at the scene," WCNC reports. (WCNC.com)
  3. "Charlotte heads into the matchup with Indiana as losers of four straight games. The Hornets are 13-34 in Eastern Conference games. Charlotte is ninth in the league with 11.3 offensive rebounds per game led by Nick Richards averaging 2.3 offensive boards. The Pacers have gone 22-21 against Eastern Conference opponents. Indiana is 15-25 against opponents with a winning record. The teams meet for the third time this season," The Associated Press reports. (The Associated Press)
  4. "Officials are investigating after a house was intentionally set on fire in east Charlotte on Saturday morning. According to the Charlotte Fire Department, the fire was started in the 8500 block of Mansell Court, just off of Brawley Lane near Robinson Church Road. Firefighters were able to control the flames in 10 minutes. No injuries were reported, although residents of the home have been displaced," WBTV reports. (WBTV)
  5. On Friday, March 24, Carolina Fine Art will throw open its doors for an international art affair. Mongolian artist Chadraabal Adiyabazar will show his work in the Carolinas for the first time in partnership with the new gallery, located in Cotswold Village. From 5-8pm, visitors can attend the Opening Reception to view his artworks, hear his story and learn more about his processes. Chadraabal is a highly decorated contemporary artist living and working in Mongolia. His upbringing in rural Mongolia was defined by the social, political and economic changes that took place there during the final decade of 70 years of Soviet communist control. As the country transformed into a vibrant, independent free market democracy, Chadraabal discovered a passion for art," WCCB Charlotte reports. (WCCB Charlotte)
