More Than 100,000 NC Homes Without Power As Winter Weather Rages
The data tracker from Duke Energy lists 136,000 power outages in the Carolinas Monday morning as of 7 a.m.
NORTH CAROLINA — More than 110,000 people are without power in North Carolina alone as of 7 a.m. Monday, according to the live outage map from Duke Energy.
The bulk of the outages are near Winston-Salem and Greensboro with close to 42,000 reports of no power as winter weather produces rain, sleet and snow across North Carolina.
The Charlotte region has 9,000 reported outages early Monday as storms roll through, with the Lake Norman area included in that number.

You can report an outage to Duke Power by calling 800.POWERON (800.769.3766) or even texting OUT to 57801 if you can't log on to their website.
Duke is working to get the power back on to all customers as quickly as possible, but there is still storms and snow impacting areas of the state.
