Here are the top three stories in Charlotte today:

  1. New Charlotte City Council committees have been announced by Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles. The new committees include four committees that cover a variety of topics impacting the community. Some committees were merged together to better reflect how issues interconnect. The council and mayor hope that the new committees will allow officials to work more horizontally on issues and designs. Click the following link to review the new committees. (WBTV)
  2. A couple has tied the knot at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Liz and Adam planned their wedding at the airport since they first met on an American Airlines flight from Cleveland, Ohio. 3. A Charlotte woman has claimed $200,000 through the North Carolina Lottery's Cash family of games. Celise Redmon collected her prize at the Lottery's headquarters on Monday.
