CHARLOTTE, NC — Due to a surge in COVID-19 cases, several Charlotte venues have canceled their party plans for New Year's Eve.
Comedy Zone Charlotte announced on social media they're canceling a show with comedian Jeff Dye due to multiple staff members testing positive for the virus.
Noda Company Store posted on Instagram they'll be open regular hours, but they're curtailing the traditional New Year's bash. "Friends we are SO sad to do this but we’re canceling our NYE Party. There’s just too many spikes in Omicron for us to be able to have a (responsible) Ball with you guys," they said in a message.
