Police Charge Man For Peeping At Off-Campus UNCC Apartments

Seon Clarke, 43, was charged on three secret peeping warrants following an incident at the University Village at Charlotte complex.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A 43-year-old Charlotte man is facing numerous secret peeping charges following an incident in late September in an off-campus university housing apartment complex, according to Charlotte police.

According to CMPD, officers were called to the 1000 block of Nugget Court in the University Village at Charlotte neighborhood shortly before 9 p.m. Sept. 28 after a report was made that a man was peeping into a window. Responding officers found a man matching the description near the scene. When they attempted to speak with him, he ran but was quickly apprehended without incident, CMPD said.

The suspect, who was identified as Seon Clarke, was interviewed by detectives with the CMPD sexual assault unit before he was charged with secret peeping.

"As a result of continued investigation, Sexual Assault Unit detectives were able to identify Clarke as a suspect in two additional cases, and three warrants for secret peeping were issued for his arrest," CMPD said.

Clarke was arrested Oct. 20.

CMPD said an investigation remains active and ongoing, and said that anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
