Police Launch Probe After Sudden Death Of Woman In East Charlotte
The woman was pronounced dead in the east Charlotte home Monday morning. Here's what police are saying about the case.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte homicide detectives launched a death investigation Monday after a woman was found dead in an east Charlotte home.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers arrived at the home located in the 14700 block of Beckenham Drive shortly before 8 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about someone in need of medical attention.
The woman, who was not immediately identified by authorities, was pronounced dead at the scene, CMPD said.

"As is standard procedure for any sudden or unexpected death, the CMPD’s Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct the investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence," CMPD said.
CMPD said the investigation remains active and ongoing, and that anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
