Police Seek Vehicle Involved In Stray Bullet Homicide That Killed A Father
CMPD is looking for this vehicle in connection with the stray bullet shooting death of a husband and father who was inside his own apartment
CHARLOTTE, NC — After a father was killed trying to protect his family, police are searching for who fired the gun. They have released a photo of a vehicle they believe is connected to the shooting.
The photos show what appears to be a dark grey or black dodge Charger/Challenger. The vehicle will have extensive front-end damage including the right front headlight out and possibly several bullet holes.
The vehicle was seen heading on Highway 160 towards I-485.

Jimmy Freiberg's wife wants those who shot her husband held accountable. She says he died a hero.
"He died over a senseless crime that caused a stray bullet to enter my child's window which caused his fatality. He died doing what he would have done for anyone he loved and that is by protecting us," said Vanessa Freiberg.
