Scams Targeting Seniors: FBI Runs Charlotte Seminar

The FBI is taking part in a seminar designed to keep senior citizens up to date with the current scams. Find out more here.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Scammers are always looking for new ways to take advantage of senior and the Department of Justice is helping Charlotte-area citizens prepare. They're hosting a scammer alert seminar in June.

The Monday, June 10 class is presented by the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Federal Bureau of investigation. It runs from 10 to 11 a.m.

"Learn about the latest scams targeting seniors and how to protect yourself from scammers," the event's flyer reads.

The DoJ entities are working with the AARP and Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation.
