CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police are asking for the community's help locating a suspect they believe was responsible for a shooting inside a south Charlotte Walmart Monday evening.

The incident occurred March 8 shortly before 7:30 p.m. at the Walmart store located at 8180 South Tryon Street.

Police responded to the scene to search the building and found evidence of the shooting, but not the suspect or any gunshot victims. Evidence also indicated that someone may have been injured in the incident, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said in a statement.

CMPD released a photo of the individual they believe is the suspect in the case, and said anyone with information about the shooting or the suspect's identity is asked to call 9-1-1.
