Someone In Charlotte Won $2 Million And Hasn't Claimed It Yet

CHARLOTTE, NC — If you bought lottery tickets recently, make sure to check them out. If you threw them away, prepare to cry.
Last week's drawing yielded a $2 million prize from a Powerball ticket sold in Charlotte at Sam's Mart on Providence Road. That was the largest prize nationally according to the North Carolina Education Lottery.
The $3 Power Play ticket matched the numbers on all five white balls to win $1 million. The $1 million prize doubled to $2 million because of the added Power Play feature. The odds of matching numbers on all five white balls are 1 in 11.6 million.
