SouthPark Mall Planning Major Upgrades

The Charlotte mall will have an outdoor brewery, restaurant and play space.

CHARLOTTE, NC — The SouthPark Mall is getting a new attraction aimed at getting more families to come and enjoy the mall area.

At the west end of the mall near Dick's Sporting Goods, Suffolk Punch will debut according to Simon Property, the mall's owner.

Suffolk Punch will feature a 400-seat full-service taphouse, restaurant and coffee bar with two additional free-standing bars. Guests can choose from more than 20 craft beers, handmade cocktails, house seltzers and wine.

There will be a stage and a 1,900-square-foot play area for kiddos to enjoy, including those who are disabled.

Construction is scheduled for 2022 and the opening is planned for summer.
